The city of Essen will be the first of the Ruhr cities to host the Loveparade. With the route winding through the city centre the Loveparade will retain its urban character. The Parade is a child of the big city and will remain an urban phenomenon.

The backdrop may be new but the Loveparade is staying true to its principles: the core of the weekend remains the procession of floats, where music scene activists - clubs, booking agencies, labels and the media - will be showcasing their line-ups. Am Samstag den 7. August 2004 ab 15.15 Uhr findet die dreizehnte Streetparade unter dem Motto «elements of culture« statt. Mit dem Motto möchte die Street Parade für eine Zusammengehörigkeit der verschiedenen Kulturen demonstrieren und bewusst machen, dass unzählige Kulturtäter viel geleistet haben. Schon von Donnerstagabend bis in den frühen Montagmorgen herrschte reges Treiben in der ganzen Stadt und rund 100 große und kleine Parties stimmten die Gäste aus aller Welt auf das Wochende ein. Die 2,4 Kilometer lange Street Parade-Route setzt sich beim Utoquai im Zürcher Seefeldquartier in Gang und danach rollen die Wagen um das Zürcher Seebecken über Bellevue, Quaibrücke und Bürkliplatz bis zum Hafendamm Enge. Entlang der Route auf diversen Showbühnen heizen DJs aus ganz Europa Partypeople ein und lassen mit ihren Beats und Bässen die Zürcher City beben. Ein komplettes Linup liegt als PDF zum Download vor. Erste Warm-up gibts es ab 13 Uhr beim Start (Utoquai), Opernhaus, Bellevue, Limmatquai, Bürkliplatz, Kongresshaus VIBIC, Rentenanstalt (Underground), Enge (Lake-Floor).

Die offizielle Ätherstimme der Street Parade ist auch dieses Jahr auf Sendung. Radio Street Parade sendet direkt von der Wüste-Bar im Zürcher Oberdorf. Sound, Sound und nochmals Sound: Die ganzen Paletten der elektronischen Musik kann man sich bis am 8. August 2004 in Zürich "On Air", schweizweit auf Kabel und weltweit per Live-Stream reinziehen.

 

Wir schreiben den 30.04.2004. In den Katakomben der Westfalenhallen (Dortmund) laufen noch die restlichen Vorbereitung für das Megaevent- MAYDAY!!!. Auf 3 Floors werden die "Extremtänzer" auch dieses Jahr die Halle mächtig zum kochen bringen. Nach Troopa of tomorrow findet in diesem Jahr das größte Techno Indoor Spektakel der Welt unter dem Motto "Team x-treme"statt. 16 Stunden beschallen euch über 30 DJs und 7 Live Acts aus aller Welt mit den besten Schreiben aus der elektronischen Tanzmusik.
